           As many of you are aware I have an imminent 'end of life' about to occur within my family which is calling me interstate this week. I have invested time and money to set up the technology to continue to teach you remotely whilst you continue to train in your studio.
            &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            The Class Schedule will remain is as for now so continue to book your classes and turn up as usual.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           This is the new process before class begins.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           1) Bring your own fully charged device eg. Laptop, Ipad, Iphone etc with Zoom already downloaded.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           2) Arrive 5-10 mins early, and enter through the side door of the Pilates Studio, using the keycode I will provide you.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           3) Connect to the Studio WIFI - the details on the Large TV monitor.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            4) Select a laptop stand or Iphone holder and a stool provided to set up 1.5m from your apparatus. Just as many of you did at home on zoom, but this time you are in the studio and I'm remote.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            5) Use the zoom link attached to your email confirmations and join me with video on and mute yourself immediately to avoid sound feedback.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            6) The Computer at my desk will be on and connected to the large TV monitor and also the Logitech Camera and Microphone which enables us to speak to one another across the studio.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           NB If you are using an Ipad please bring an ipad stand as it is a little trickier to get the screen to point towards you without falling over - I wasn't able to find any.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           I will have a whole view of the studio and a close up of each person via your personal device.
          &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
        
            For those of you who are new to the studio or zoom, please be reassured that dedicated clients continued to train with me online and in studio over the past 2 years of Covid distruption and studio lockdowns - They are so much stronger and happier for it.
           &#xD;
      &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

It is fully equipped with the highest quality Classical Pilates Apparatus.

Reflecting on the year that was 2020 and how I managed the restrictions and limitations brought upon us all, essentially to keep us healthy and strong in a pandemic.
Simply put, I increased my Pilates practice.  I became more centred, stronger, more open in my body and mind, whist observing so many people who were contracting under the pressure, the changes, the fear of lost security.

My Pilates was a handrail that kept me steady, a mindful, focused practice that drew me deeper into myself whilst remaining ever present and in relationship to the environment I was living in.  I watched myself deepen into this practice and allowed it to change my body and my mind to a stronger and more centred place.  Doing the method 5 times per week showed me how this practice of Pilates is meant to reconnect you in a powerful strong body, with a clear sharp mind, developing an ease and grace that allows joy to flow.</description>

           Inverloch Authentic Pilates reopens Monday January 4th and I invite you on this journey with me.

           All clients who attend my studio practice 2-4 times per week. I do not accept casual attendance. Learning Pilates is like learning an instrument or language. Its kept simple at first then, progresses and increasingly becomes more complex. As you deepen further, and feel your mind and body change you begin to understand the principles are basic and it is all about the practice.
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           When Pilates is repeated in the body regularly, it sharpens the mind and strengthens your body as a whole. This is a wonderful place to live from ... and this is what I am offering. A solid pathway to experience this - your body and mind in deep relationship to each other through this method.

      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           My clients have experienced through a regular weekly practice of Contrology with me; their
           &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
           back pain disappear, posture improve, torso lengthen, hips open and release tension, their backs start to hold them up, and they become grounded through their feet improving balance.

  &lt;p&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           Are you someone that experiences pain, or do you help people that live with pain?

           Pain can be scary, debilitating, costly, and potentially have a huge negative impact on our lives - but what if it wasn't as scary as we thought? Learning more about the physical processes that occur when we feel pain can potentially help us take back some control over the experience.

           In this afternoon lecture we will look at the anatomy and physiology involved with our pain, some of the potential contributing factors that can alter our pain experience, and discuss strategies to help us move forward toward function.

           Hello! I am AOK - Alex O'Neill-King. As an injured teenage dancer, I was introduced to Pilates as a rehabilitation tool by my Physiotherapist. Thankfully this practice allowed me to keep dancing for many more years - fueling my movement curiosity, and taking me on a journey to study Dance at Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/blockquote&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;blockquote&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           It wasn't until a few years later that I discovered a new joy helping others keep moving. Returning to study, I completed my Diploma of Pilates Instruction and then continued into a Physiotherapy degree (life-long student over here!).
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/blockquote&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;blockquote&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           During my years working as a Physiotherapist I have had the privilege to work with people across a range of settings including Musculoskeletal, Neurological and Cardiorespiratory in acute care, inpatients, outpatients and community care. Alongside my Physiotherapy work I have continued to teach Pilates in a variety of studios, before opening my own solo practice in Western Australia that allows me to combine all my favourite ways to help people Keep Moving.

           The second most significant component of his Pilates Apparatus is the springs. It is the spring that makes his apparatus so unique to delivering his Pilates Method. It is through the spring that the body engages with the apparatus to stabilize, strengthen and open the body this is where the magic happens. As you move through the exercises you engage the spring with your core muscles and deepening the bodies connections. Your spring becomes your ally. You start to listen and feel the springs and how you engage your core with them. Are you moving them evenly or do you hear them whoosh in one direction? Have you just banged your reformer closed? Are you bouncing in your leg springs on the Cadillac? Are the strong springs of the High Chair moving you instead of you moving them? The quality of Classical Pilates is in the quality of your relationship with the springs and the apparatus you are working.

           Knowing your apparatus and the nature of the springs will guide you to know what to choose to work with on a specific day depending on how your body feels. A regular weekly Pilates practice should have you working with most of the apparatus that Joseph designed. One day you are drawn to the Universal Reformer, but another day serves you better to start seated on the High Chair. Why? If you are tired and feeling weaker than normal you may not work deep enough for the Reformer to open your body, you may feel like its too heavy and shortening. In Classical Pilates we do not change the exercises rather we choose the ones that will connect the core to strength it and open us. If an exercise is too heavy or strong it can push us out of our centered core and into our shoulders and bigger muscles and miss the smaller deeper muscles of our core which switches the whole bod on. This is how we use the whole system of apparatus to meet our body's needs and create the change we desire... the perfect balance of stability, strength and flexibility.

           The Classical Pilates method married with the intended apparatus is powerful and effective. The body changes quickly when you develop a regular practice of Pilates (2 to 4 times per week) using the apparatus.

          There are 2 good reasons to become an independent client.
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           The first reason is because that's what Joseph Pilates expected of clients learning his method of Pilates called "Contrology". 
          
                    &#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      
                      
           A client was to learn their specific exercises and then join a group of clients in an open workout. Clients were not herded together to do the same exercises, waiting upon every word being spoon feed by an instructor. On the contrary, clients had to remember, engage, repeat, feel and listen to their bodies as they moved through their indivualised programs.  The benefit for both teacher and student is, that the instructor is not repeating the set up, where the arms and legs go every class.  More importantly, the instructor is watching how the client is moving and gives corrections that deepen the clients engagement to their core. The clients is thinking and feeling their body actively not passively waiting what to be told to do.
           
                      &#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;div&gt;&#xD;
    &lt;span&gt;&#xD;
      &lt;br/&gt;&#xD;

           The second reason, is because research proves that when you take responsibility for your workouts and mentally engage with its content and method, you engage yourself more deeply and knowingly.  Therefore, you are more likely to transfer the gains from your workouts into the rest of your active life.

           For example, a client who comes in knowing what apparatus they want to work on, within their program and why, show that they understand what they are trying to do with the apparatus to create change. Furthermore, if you are 100% mind and body engaged you will experience the optimum flow state of a pursuit.

            Inverloch Authentic Pilates is run as an Open Workout Studio; the way Joseph Pilates operated his New York Studio for 40years. New clients complete an Introduction Program of 6 x 30min Privates in 14 days. You first need to learn the exercises of your individualized program before you can start to think about 'how' you do the exercise correctly. To move from your core muscles, you first need to know where your arms and legs go, what shape your spine is in, and know how to set up your apparatus.

    &lt;/span&gt;&#xD;
  &lt;/p&gt;&#xD;
&lt;/div&gt;&#xD;
